220 Illustration Highlights

These are the highlights of the DSGN220 class I took in the Fall of 2019. The class focused on techniques for storyboarding, composing, drawing, and rendering illustrations! I had a great time in this class developing my inking style!

Subculture Spread: Chicago Italians

For the final project, I created a three-page spread about my paternal grandparents’ journey from Italy to the United States. The first page focuses on them as a couple and the home where they raised their family in Evanston, Illinois. The second page highlights their migration here on the S.S. Adriatic, and the third page shows the landscapes of Rende and Ferentino, Italy, where my grandparents emigrated from.
