BVCK BY POPULVR DEMVND
Here lies the album art for a hypothetical fifth MCR studio album, centered around the band’s rise from the grave after a seven-year hiatus. Rock in peace.
I spent a fair amount of time brainstorming the concept for this theoretical fifth studio album. The past four productions from My Chemical Romance were each uniquely themed and told a loosely connected story through the order of the tracks included. For BVCK BY POPULVR DEMVND, I used my illustrations and color scheme to insinuate that this album’s plot was the unexpected resurrection of the band members, who may or may not have perished when the band dissolved in 2013. The power of fan devotion would revive MCR, and then the undead group would spend the next ten tracks lamenting at their new forms and condemning the recklessness of their audience. The imagined tracks included on this vinyl are: Palms Together, Hinges, Arson As A Form Of Self-Expression, Rest For The Wicked, Formaldehyde, Requiem Of The Rotting, Pyscho-Pompous, Did He Answer Your Prayers In Time?, Dark Veil, and Marionettes.
