Doggust Portraits

In 2019, I learned about “Doggust”, the month-long drawing challenge that encourages artists to celebrate a selected breed for each day in August. Wanting to push myself and develop my style, I decided to stray from the prompts and find my inspiration from the Petfinder adoption website. I had so much fun the first round, I’ve decided to make it a tradition! Every August, I draw a pen and ink portrait of an adoptable dog somewhere in the United States that’s been in a shelter or foster home for over a month. I post the finished drawing on my socials to share the profiles and help find these faces a forever home!
